Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 6:36-38.
Jesus said to his disciples: «Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you."
Reflection: Imitate the Father
Today's Gospel reminds us that to be holy is to be like God. A God who is merciful to His Sons and Daughters. Minsan tayong mga tao lagi nating sinasabi, lalo't kapag nagkakamali, "Sorry, tao lang!" Nagsosorry na nga, galit pa. We must never connote the word MISTAKE in being a person, but we must learn to put GOD in our humanity. Meaning to say my dear brothers and sisters, we are made in the likeness and image of God, and it is not impossible that we can be like Him. We cannot have His powers but we can have His qualities on being merciful to other people. We cannot use the reason that He is God and we are just Humans, so that we cannot perform holy and divine works. Remember, in the baptism you receive the Godliness of the Father, and when His Son died for you, you just not became a part of his Godliness but you also became a part of his Holy and meaningful life. Amen.
